Client Billing Quotes

Draft Bills
View client billing quotes on draft bills so you know if you quoted a client for services.
Bill Single Client
Client billing quotes appear on the Bill Single Client dialogue so you can optionally modify billed amounts before sending bills to draft.
 

Quotes vs. Bill Value
Easily compare quoted amounts to bill value so you can make any necessary adjustments before sending out client bills.



Courtesy Discounts

Automatic Calculation
Adjust the total fees billed to a client by entering a courtesy discount in the Bill Single Client view of Create Bills. Simply enter either the discount or the amount after the discount and the other field is automatically calculated.

Display
Courtesy discounts are displayed as separate items on bills.



Electronic Billing

E-Bills
Create e-bills for matters in the Ledes 98B or Litigation Advisor/Legalgard formats for sending electronic bills to third party bill audit vendors.


Income Statements

Statement Titles
All Operating Statements have been renamed Income Statements to better reflect their function.

Simplified Reporting
The new Simple Income Statement report just shows revenues and expenses for a given time period.

Balances
Income Statements are now displayed as positive balances instead of its credit or debit position.

Zero-Balance Accounts
Choose whether or not include zero-balance accounts for income statement reports.


Simplified Bank Reconciliation

Redesigned Screens
It is now easier than ever to reconcile bank accounts. Redesigned screens provide a more intuitive user experience.

Interest Earned and Bank Changes
A new interest earned and bank charges section provides an easy way to enter items from your bank statement that has not been captured in data entry.

Descriptive Text
Explanatory text has been added to various screens for quick reference.

Consolidated Reports
View or print a list of reports when saving a bank reconciliation.

Zero-Balance Checks and Receipts
Optionally skip zero-balance checks and receipts.


New Reports

Client Expense Report
Generate a firmwide list of expenses posted to one or more client files with the Client Expense Report.

Select expenses by client matter range, responsible lawyer or file type. Choose to display billed expenses, unbilled expenses, or both billed and unbilled expenses and optionally display expenses based on their origin.

Bank Transaction Listing
The Bank Transaction Listing report provides a consolidated and detailed listing of cash inflows and outflows for a general or trust bank account. Easily access data such as who paid you for the period, how much money came in this month and what it was used for.

Outstanding Deposits List
See a complete list of firm receipts, accounts receivable receipts or general or trust retainer receipts, that have been deposited but not yet cleared. Optionally select to print data for a specific date range or by bank.

Cleared Deposits Register
See a complete list of cleared firm or trust receipts posted to a particular bank. Optionally select to print data for a specific date range or by bank.


Report Enhancements

Billable Time by Lawyer
Run the report by client range, file type or lawyer range. Filter by billable/non billable time and whether or not the time entry has been billed.

Accounts Receivable Aging
The accounts receivalbe aging report now includes general retainer balances in addition to being able to filter results by Client Matter ID range.

Work In Progress Exceptions
Filter results to only show files that have a general retainer balance in addition to being able to see general retainer balances.
Client Transactions
The client transactions report now includes general retainer balances.
Client Listing
The client listing report now includes general retainer balances.
Work In Progress Listing
Filter results by Client Matter ID range.
Client Matter File Expense
Filter results by Client Matter ID range.
Lawyer Activity Details
Filter results by Client Matter ID range.


Consolidated Billing Template

Time
Group time entries by matter and see matter totals.
Expenses
Group expenses by matter and see matter totals.
Trust Ledger
Group ledger entries by matter and see matter totals.
Summary
See a summary of your total fees, expenses, taxes, payments and balances for each matter.


Reverse Trust Receipts

Reversals
Now you can easily reverse unbilled trust receipts.


Accounts Receivable Write-Offs Enhancement

Accounts Receivable Write-Offs
The new A/R write-off functions now make it easier to write down or up invoice fees, expenses or taxes on client files.


Journal Entries Enhancements

Journal Entries
It is now easier than ever to enter full journal entries, both debit and credit transactions, and to reverse journal entries in a single step.


Other

WIP Expenses Write-Offs Account
The WIP Expenses Write-Offs account in now included in the list of control accounts provided for the Cash accounting method. When you write off an unbilled client expense, the G/L account selected as the control account is debited.
