Patch 1 (May 31, 2010)
Amicus Accounting 2010
This patch resolves various issues related to billing, reports, and other areas.
EXPENSES
Issue 22465: If you edit an unposted expense from the View Unposted Transactions tab in New Expense Entry, some text at the beginning of the description is truncated.
BILLING
Issue 22279: If payment of a bill is received one day after the bill is posted, the next bill shows an incorrect prior balance and balance owing.
Issue 22468: Reminder Statements consolidate the payments on each invoice rather than listing the payments separately.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Issue 22436: In AP Invoice Entry, adjusted taxes or other amounts cannot be saved.
MONTH/YEAR END
Issue 22260: If receipts are entered in different months with the same reference number, they are combined in Bank Reconciliation.
REPORTS
Issue 22434: The Billable Time by Lawyer report does not show time entries posted with a value of zero.
Issue 22435: The Billable Time by Lawyer report shows only the first couple of lines of the description.

To check your Build Number in Amicus Accounting, go to Help > About Amicus Accounting.
TIPS ON DOWNLOADING & UPDATING

Choose a temporary location on your hard drive. Do not download directly into your existing Amicus Accounting folder.

Do not change the name of the download file.

Before you click on the download link, make sure that it is appropriate for your version of Amicus Accounting.

If you experience any errors during the extraction process, do not attempt to install. The file may have become corrupted during download. Delete the downloaded file from your machine and download the update again.

The instructions assume that your Amicus Accounting has been installed to its default folders. If you have installed the program to a different location, then use that location in the following instructions.
INSTALLING THE PATCH
Updating Amicus Accounting

Click the link below and download the file Patch1.zip.

Extract its contents to a temporary location. The extracted file is amicusa.exe.

Ensure that all users, including yourself, are out of Amicus Accounting.

If Amicus Accounting is integrated with Amicus Attorney, ensure that all Amicus Attorney users are logged out.

At the Amicus Server, in the \Amicus\Amicus Accounting folder, rename amicusa.exe to OLD-amicusa.exe.

Copy the extracted amiucsa.exe to the \Amicus\Amicus Accounting folder.
NOTE: The Amicus Workstations do not need to be updated.
Determining whether the Update has been applied

Check by viewing the Properties of amicusa.exe - its Modified Date is updated to May 25, 2010.
