Tips
for Downloading:
-
Choose a temporary location on your
hard drive. Do not download directly
into your existing Amicus Attorney folder.
- Do
not change the name of the download
file.
- Before
you click on the download link, make
sure that it is appropriate to your
version and edition of Amicus Attorney.
- For
Netscape users, your browser will
prompt you with a "Save As" dialog.
Click OK to begin the download.
- For
Internet Explorer users, select
a location on your hard drive to store
the file. Click OK to begin the download.
What
will I need to do after I download?
Updating Amicus Administrator:
-
Ensure that ALL Team Members have an
on-line and logged-out status
in Amicus Administrator.
- Exit
from Amicus Administrator.
- From
the computer on which Amicus Administrator
is installed, open Windows Explorer.
- Browse
for the location where you stored the
AP411JU5.EXE file.
- Double-click
on the file, AP411JU5.EXE and
then click "Finish". This will extract
the necessary files into a temporary
folder.
- Click
OK to the dialog that reads "Extraction
complete." The Setup program will automatically
begin.
- Follow
the onscreen instructions.
Updating
Team Member Workstations:
- After
Amicus Administrator has been updated,
each Team Member workstation will automatically
detect the update upon launching Amicus
Attorney. There is no separate install
required on each workstation.
- Important
Note: If Team Members already have
a shortcut on their desktop for Amicus
Attorney, they MUST still go to the
Start menu to launch Amicus Attorney
for the update to take place. This is
done to ensure that the AA40CHK.EXE
is run.
Juris
program files are required for the posting
of Time Entries from Amicus Attorney to
Juris. All Team Members who wish to use
the Amicus Attorney–Juris enhanced integration
must have Juris installed on their workstations.
After
the update is complete, the DLLs listed
below that are found in all Team Member
Amicus40 folders will have the latest
file version numbers:
