Amicus Attorney 7 Premium Edition ships with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE) which can be installed along with Premium Edition and requires no additional licensing. Premium Edition can support up to 15 users and 2GB of data when using MSDE.

Amicus Attorney 7 Premium Edition can also be run on SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 (see the Hardware and Software Requirements for details).

SQL Client Access Licenses (CALs) purchased from Gavel & Gown Software are SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition licenses for use with Amicus Attorney only (Runtime Restricted Use). These licenses can not be applied as SQL CALs for use with other products. One SQL CAL is required for each license of Amicus Attorney 7 Premium Edition. (Firms can also choose to purchase SQL Server on their own or use pre-existing full SQL CALs already owned by the Firm.)
