The Notes Module in Amicus Attorney 7 - Fast & Easy Recording of Information

Amicus Attorney helps you organize information so that everything is right where you need it. Amicus Attorney 7 features a "magic" legal pad for fast and easy recording of information. Using the Notes module, you can get that thought down while you're thinking of it and record any fact, action item, to do, or other item.

In the Notes Module, there's always a blank note at the top of the page. Just click and type. Later you can attach the note to a person or file or even convert the note with a simple click of the mouse. You can jot down the notes of a call, a task to be done, a message to send, or even a legal rule - and then later move it into the right place in Amicus Attorney with a single click. No need to retype a thing.

Notes Module - Today View

There are two views in the Notes Module: You can see all unassociated notes or just those written today. The Unassociated Notes list shows you all the notes you have jotted down but have not yet saved to the right file. The Today's Notes view will show not only unassociated notes, but also ones that have already been saved to files, people, events and library pages.

It couldn't be easier to record that important little bit of information before you forget.

You can sort your notes by their date, authors and much more. These unassociated notes are private and will not be accessible to other users. Notes on Events, People, Files and Library Pages are stored as separate records and shown in lists, so you can sort them, see their dates, authors and much more. You can have the same note on multiple files, even on other people as well.

"Stickies"
Notes can also be used to send instant messages to other Amicus Attorney users. We call these "Stickies." These inter-office messages are a great tool for easy communication. Stickies can be sent to multiple recipients, and you can even choose when you want the message to go out. If the note is relevant to particular People or Files, then you can make that association prior to sending the Sticky Message.

Sticky messages are also a great way to send reminders to yourself or to other firm members.

Incoming sticky message

Incoming Sticky messages appear on the recipient's screen in front of any other Amicus Attorney windows and can be accompanied by a sound alert - if you choose. Recipients who are not logged into Amicus Attorney at the time will see the message the next time they open the program.

You can associate the Sticky message with people and files and you have an ability to keep a record of all relevant stickies you have received. Incoming Sticky messages where no action was taken will be stored with your other unassociated notes.
